ailing from the town of Rennes in the west of France, Isabelle Jeudy
and Damien Ratte have been cosplaying together as a duo since 2005.
Whether it's individual or group cosplay; performing or participating
in photoshoots, they enjoy all aspects of cosplay and have
participated at numerous conventions.
In 2007 they were chosen to represent France in the World Cosplay Summit, held annually in Nagoya Japan. Their chosen performance was from the manga 'Alichino' and included many comedic references to popular anime and 'otaku' culture in general. Participating in the summit were cosplayers from all over the world, but Isabelle and Damien emerged as winners!
Since achieving success in Japan, they have been invited to conventions worldwide, but this will be their first time appearing as guests in the UK! We hope UK cosplayers will welcome our French neighbours with open arms ^^
More information on Isabelle and Damien as individuals is below:

Damien has had a passion for anime since childhood and is an avid
video-game buff. As a presenter for the TV channel 'Nolife', he often
visits Japan to find out the latest trends from Japanese otaku.
Inspired by Japan's constantly evolving anime production and the
camradery between otaku from different cultures, it's for these
reasons he loves cosplay - to bring his favourite series to life, but
also to raise public awareness about anime through their costumes and
performances.

For Isabelle, cosplay is a way to merge her dual interests of costume and Japanese pop-culture. She has been making costumes for nearly 10 years, in a bid to widen her influences and develop new techniques.
Since her teenage years, Isabelle has been interested in how the aesthetics of Japanese pop influence architecture, fashion and the Japanese way of life. Today, Isabelle is involved in music video production as a costume consultant, make-up artist and sometime actress. She also studies Japanese language and calligraphy.
Isabelle and Damien's visit is being kindly sponsored by Genki Gear - t-shirts with a Japanese twist! For more info on Genki Gear, please visit their website.
