Live entertainment
Guests at this year's ball will be treated to bellydancing, a sword performance and an Arabian Bazaar, as well as the usual bands, DJs and ballroom dancing!
Stunt Performer Š Cecily Fay
No Arabian Night would be complete without some daring swordplay! Cecily Fay, leader of Babes With Blades, will be performing an acrobatic martials performance with swords and fans!
Cecily has appeared on stage and screen as a professional stuntwoman and is double European champion in Pencak Silat.
Bellydance - Bellybliss Allstars
Vanessa and Pegah from dance troupe Bellybliss Allstars have trained extensively in Egyptian bellydance both in London and abroad. They are experts in fusing traditional styles with Turkish, Bollywood and hip hop dance.
The girls love performing and always win rave reviews from the crowd for their enthusiasm. They have previously performed with R&B artist Akon, at the Urban Music Awards, and at numerous other awards and TV shows.
Arabian Bazaar
Sample delicious Middle Eastern delicacies, Turkish apple tea and themed cocktails. Buy cute accessories for your costume, have your manga portrait drawn, or your palm read by a mysterious fortune teller.
Live Music
Two live bands will be performing, as well as singing performances from GICB Talent Search winner Katharine Kourbeti, and reknowned anison singer Choco Cat.
DJs
Party into the night with four DJs playing a mix of anime songs and J-music, pop, rock and 80Õs cheese. Our line-up includes resident DJs from J-Pop Go!
Choco Cat
Choco Cat Š the UKÕs best loved anison singer and winner of this yearÕs Nodojiman singing award - will be singing us out with the last dance as well as treating us to a DJ set.
Photo Studio by Cosplay Portrait
Our themed photo area will be organised by Cosplay Portrait this year. They will be offering free digital copies of the photos (available to download from their website), with the option to buy prints on the night.
Ballroom Dancing
The best part of any ball is the dancing, and due to popular request we will be extending the set dances and playing more ballroom dancing music than ever before.
Upon entry to the Ball you will be given a "dance card" with the description and time of each of the dances, and a space to write down the name of your partner for each dance. Don't be shy about inviting others to dance or if you donÕt know the steps - this is a fun way to meet people!
This yearÕs set dances will be:

- 22:00 Viennese Waltz
- 23:00 Jive
- 00:00 Midnight Waltz
- 01:00 Last Dance
The Midnight Waltz is a special dance - you must dance with stranger! So grab a partner and join in!
